The founder of Punj Folk Academy is a passionate advocate for Punjabi culture with a background in IT and software development. Having been captivated by Bhangra and Gidha from a young age, he participated in these dances throughout his school and college years. Driven by a desire to reconnect today’s generation with their cultural roots, he established Punj Folk Academy to share the energy, joy, and rich heritage of Punjabi folk traditions. His vision is to create a global community where individuals of all backgrounds can learn, celebrate, and embrace the spirit of Bhangra and Gidha.

Founded by an individual deeply rooted in IT and software development, but with a heart full of love for Punjabi traditions, our academy aims to share the exuberance of these folk dances with the world.
Our founder, who has always been passionate about Bhangra and Gidha, experienced firsthand the thrill of these dances during his school and college days. His deep respect for his Punjabi heritage and his desire to reconnect today’s children with their cultural roots led to the creation of Punj Folk Academy. It is our mission to preserve and promote Punjabi folk traditions by not only teaching these dances but also by educating students about the rich cultural history and values of Punjab.
